Bibliography of Important Works
for those Researching the Archaeology and History of Co. Sligo
As part of our continuing practice of enlightening the people of Sligo and those who deal with it in matters antiquarian we are providing a number of bibliographies. One contains works, books and publications on any topic, by members of Sligo Field Club. The other contains works, books and publications, which would be of prime interest to those researching the archaeology and history of Co. Sligo. Both lists have been developed by Martin A. Timoney from the Bibliographies in A Celebration of Sligo, 2002, edited by Timoney, Had Me Made by Mary B. Timoney, 2005, articles referenced by both those authors, Sligo: Sources of Local History by McTernan, 1994, further references assembled from years of research and included in A Guide to Archaeological Sources for Co. Sligo by Bolton, Timoney and Timoney, forthcoming, and other references that have come to recent notice.
We ask our members and viewers who become aware of refences that should be included to forward them to us in the format used herein for inclusion in later versions of this listing.
