Aims, Objectives & Methods

The members of Sligo Field Club seek to promote interest in the environment, both natural and man made, through lectures, guided field trips and any other method considered appropriate. The general areas of interest of the members of Sligo Field Club are Sligo’s past as seen in archaeology, history, geography, basic geology, flora and fauna, folklore and folklife, genealogy, etc., and the quality of the environment. The Club aims to interest the general public in its interests, welcomes members from all walks of life and we very much appreciate seeing families attending our events. [read more]
